Online Donation Form Individual donations are the backbone of all of Houston Audubon's programs. Donations from individuals such as yourself are the driving force behind all of our education and sanctuary programs. Donations may be made in cash or by credit card. We also have special programs for donations of securities and motor vehicles.
Donations by credit card or check
Our secure online donation form may be used for donations with VISA or MasterCard. If you prefer to pay by check, please print out the form and return it with your check. You may also use this form for memorial and honorarium donations. If you prefer to make a donation by telephone, please call our office at 713-932-1639 (office hours are Monday-Friday, 9 AM - 5PM).
Board of Directors Spring Fundraising Challenge
Houston Audubon has received a $35,000 gift to underwrite a Board of Directors Spring Fundraising Challenge. All contributions to this campaign will be matched dollar for dollar up to $35,000. Each dollar received becomes two dollars for Houston Audubon.
This fundraising challenge is all about the birds, and supporting the people working to preserve them. The Helm and Wortham Foundations are contributing to the challenge as are all HAS Board of Directors. The campaign is coming to an end soon and we need everyone’s help now to reach the goal. We hope you will join us in this campaign.
These gifts will help us continue educating the next generation, advocating for support of the natural environment, and providing the necessary habitat for birds and wildlife. Donations can be made online by using the donation form, by calling the office at 713-932-1639, or by mailing a check to Houston Audubon, 440 Wilchester Blvd., Houston, TX 77079. Vehicle Donations
Vehicle Donation Form
Donate your used car, truck, boat or RV to Houston Audubon. We'll arrange to have it picked up free of charge. We accept most vehicles, even if they don't run. Some restrictions may apply on older vehicles, though. It's easy and convenient, and you'll be eligible for a tax deduction as well! Donating your used vehicle is much easier than it is to sell it yourself. And the tax savings might even be more than what you would receive from a trade in. You'll also be spared the ordeal of selling your vehicle. To make a donation, please use our secure online Vehicle Donation Form. 1. What can I donate?
We accept most vehicles and vessels including but not limited to cars, trucks, trailers, boats and RV's.
2. Is my donation tax deductible?
Yes. We have verified that all charities listed within this site are classified with the IRS as non-profit charitable organizations. Donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Individual tax situations vary so please check with a tax professional to determine what if any tax benefit you may receive.
3. What do I need to donate my vehicle?
We would like the title to the vehicle, but if you do not have it please call us anyway. It is possible that other arrangements may be made.
4. My car hasn't run in years. Can I still donate it?
Yes, we are able to accept most vehicles running or not (exceptions include older vehicles whose value would not offset the cost of towing).
5. Can you pick up vehicles in all 50 states?
Yes, we are able to pick up accepted vehicles in the continental U.S. and Hawaii.
6. How will the car be picked up?
We will arrange to have your vehicle towed away by a professionally licensed, bonded and insured towing company.
7. How long will it take to pick up my car?
You will be contacted within three or four business days at the most. If you need your car picked up sooner, please let us know as we may be able to make those arrangements as well.
