The Edith L. Moore Nature Sanctuary in West Houston is a 17.5 acre wooded sanctuary along Rummel Creek with a restored log cabin that houses a variety of education programs reaching out into Houston and surrounding areas. Open to the public 365 days a year, it also contains Houston Audubon administrative offices. Our automatic gate currently opens at 7:00 AM and closes at 7:00 PM (9:00 PM in summer), and birders are welcome.
Dog policy: Any dog at the sanctuary must be kept on a leash. Because this is a nature sanctuary, we ask visitors not to bring their dogs.

Gates open at 7AM and close at 7 PM (9 PM in summer). RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL GROUPS VISITING THE SANCTUARY. Call 713-464-4900 to schedule your sanctuary visit. Your generous donation helps to preserve this sanctuary for the birds and for our future.
