Outdoor fun and nature adventure await your eager preschooler and a grown up chaperone of their choice! Through crafts, forest walks, puppet shows, and story time, your youngest camper will learn about the natural world all around them.
Explore nature in a big way this summer at our most popular camp! Meet the animals of the Bayou City. Hike the trails each day as we investigate our forest's habitats. Make nature crafts to take home. From ponds to fronds, bogs to logs, and creeks to peaks, we'll go on eco-adventures right here in the middle of our city.

New! Backyard Bugs Camp
Insects cover our planet, and many live right under our noses! Spend the week investigating the incredible diversity of earth's largest group of animals. They creep, crawl, fly, buzz, and flutter all around us. Make bug trappers, build an insectarium, design buggy costumes to wear, and spend lots of time up close with our tiniest backyard neighbors.

What was Houston like hundreds of years ago? Learn about the lives and customs of the Akokisa Indians who used to roam the banks of Rummel Creek. Explore the forest like our earliest pioneers. Make your own arrowheads and pottery, fish in the ponds, tell campfire stories, and play frontier games.

New! Art in Nature Camp
Explore the beauty in nature all around us. We'll spend the week adding to our nature scrapbooks, painting watercolors along the creek, designing crafts using natural materials, and we'll even create our own whimsical animal creatures!
Do you have what it takes to survive in the wild? We'll test our nature survival skills as we learn to build shelters, filter our own water, start a fire without a match, cook using the sun, and make a tasty snack from plants (and bugs!) found here in our forest. (Ages 11-12 years)

X-treme Pond Camp
For our most daring adventurers, we'll spend this last week of the summer exploring the exciting, underwater world of our creeks and ponds. We'll design our own pond aquariums, investigate the animals that live beneath the water's edge, and explore the hidden habitats of Rummel Creek. (Ages 10-11 years)
