  Trees for Bolivar

Houston Audubon is able to offer peninsula property owners free native trees and shrubs as part of the Trees for Bolivar Project. Property owners sign up trees and Houston Audubon staff conduct a site visit to determine what species of trees are appropriate and if their soil is ready. Together GreenPeninsula residents are excited about replanting, and many have signed up to participate in the program.

This project is funded by Together Green, a project of National Audubon and Toyota. The Apache Foundation of Apache Corporation donated 500 trees and shrubs for the project.Apache Foundation

In December Winnie Burkett, Flo Hannah, Andrew Beck, and Julia Garrett have been busy delivering trees to Bolivar residents.
