• Funding for 500 signs to post around colonies of beach-nesting birds: $1,200.

Dos Vacas Muertas Bird Sanctuary, Galveston

• Observation deck at Dos Vacas Muertas Bird Sanctuary, Galveston: projected cost - $2,500.
• Trail improvements at Dos Vacas Muertas Bird Sanctuary, Galveston: projected cost - $700.

High Island

• New T-fishing pier at Smith Pond at Smith Oaks Sanctuary for local High Island youth: projected cost - $15,000.
• 6 galvanized frames for High Island picnic tables (to replace weathered ones): $100 each.
• 4 fiberglass doors for High Island bathrooms (to replace warped wooden ones): $600 each.
• Laptop computer and printer that we could use at High Island to post information to Texbirds and keep track of bird data, write up information for posting in the sanctuary, and print pictures of volunteers, birds and plants: $1,000.
• 18 hp wood chipper (to mulch brush and trimmings): $4,300.
