Secure Annual Appeal Donation Form
Houston Audubon’s passion has always been bird conservation. We accomplish this through
education and outreach, advocacy, and habitat protection.
During 2008, we were able to achieve much with the help of our generous donors. We reached 24,677 children and adults with programs and field trips. We rescued and replanted native prairie plants throughout Houston. We continued to fight for greater federal funding for wildlife conservation in Texas. We partnered with other groups and agencies to protect more habitat for the birds of Texas. We endured a powerful hurricane.
We are proud of our achievements; yet, there is still so much for us to do. Undeniably, we need your help.
- We know most children are disconnected from the natural world. We need to connect more!
- We know many elected officials are under-informed about the many threats to wildlife and the environment.
We need to inform more!
- We have protected nearly 3,400 acres of essential bird habitat. We need to protect more!
- We have helped our partners protect thousands of acres. We need to partner more!
- We know Hurricane Ike destroyed miles of critical habitat for resident and migratory birds, and we have begun restoration.
We need to restore much, much more!
Houston Audubon is committed to being a leader in community outreach and environmental education and a constant, powerful voice for birds on issues that affect them and the habitat upon which they depend. Your gift will allow us to continue protecting birds and wildlife habitat for future generations. We hope you will join us in this effort.
