Request for Old Field Guide Donations

by Mary Anne Weber, Education Coordinator

This past spring the Houston Audubon Society was thrilled to engage many youth teams for the annual Birdathon. We would like to help these young birders continue to improve their skills and interest level by providing their classes with field guides. If anyone has an old field guide, perhaps an older Golden Guide, would you be interested in donating it to our youth teams? It would help tremendously. You can drop off old field guides at the Edith L. Moore Nature Sanctuary or the Sims Bayou Urban Nature Center. We will also collect them at the September membership meeting. We will deliver to the various teachers who are working with these kids. Stop dusting those old guides. Donate them!

Thanks for helping these young birders out.
